Marlaine
Marlaine Glicksman is a visual storyteller: an award-winning filmmaker, screenwriter, photographer, and journalist who creates dramatic character-driven stories set in multicultural contexts both narrative and documentary and in moving images and still.

 

Glicksman is the director/producer of THE COMMANDMENT KEEPERS, a documentary on the highly observant synagogue in Harlem. She has shot for Vibe, George, and Travel & Leisure and has written for Rolling Stone, George, Harper's, Harper's Bazaar, Interview, and the Jerusalem Post Magazine, among other publications. Glicksman was an editor for Vogue and senior editor for Film Comment. She has been a story and editing consultant for documentaries and features including Breakfast with Scot (director Laurie Lynd), Full Disclosure (director Brian Palmer), and End of The Beginning (director Sabu Quinn). She received her MFA from Columbia University Film Division and her BA from the Annenberg School of Communications at the University of Pennsylvania.
